The voyage across the pond was very plush. I was exposed to lots of Brits, Aussies, and Kiwis, so please excuse if I’m now an insufferable snob. Queueing up for afternoon tea and sandwiches. My knowledge of cruises begins and ends with Titanic, so I kept expecting to be told I wasn’t allowed on the promenade and getting escorted to the brig. I did start to get the hang of it a few days ago.

I would walk for two hours most days. The deck is teak so it’s beautiful, but steel underneath so very hard. I ate breakfast in the fancy restaurant and would ask to be with others, so I would would be at a round table for 9. Lunch and dinner I ate at the buffet. I would go for a soak in the hot tub on the stern in the afternoon. Met and chatted with lots of people.

I saw a couple of movies, and one really touched me, the Greatest Showman with Hugh Jackman. I Ho would have loved that movie, not one but two Korean style love stories. It’s a musical, but manages to have a good plot also. I cried after the movie.

People talk about Camino magic. I’m already experiencing it. Every moment has been a blessing.

A long haul to breakfast
