Yesterday was the most emotional day of my walk, and also one of the most demanding. I placed a stone at the base of the cross of iron from home for I Ho. Many tears.
I had decided to “buy” one more zero day in Ponferrada so I walked 32 km. It was a lot. I started walking in the dark at 6:30 am. The path was up and up to the pass and the cross. The way down was quite steep, rocky, uneven and long, so it was slow going. It also rained, especially at the end as I got to town. I got to my hotel at 6 pm. My feet are sore, and legs are stiff.

HI Derik
Which route are you taking? If you go to Porto, better tell them you are Canadian. Porto lost to Inter Miami in the FIFA Club World Cup (A big upset thanks to Messi!) this past week.
Safe journey or like the brick said Buon Camino!
