I was so exhausted last night I couldn’t eat dinner. I almost didn’t leave my hotel this morning, but decided to start and see what happens. Today I walked 19 kilometers. There were some challenges, someone called them dragon’s teeth, but I made it. I didn’t have a place to stay in Zubiri, but hoped I would find something. If I were faster that would have been okay because the municipal alberge is first come first serve. When I got here everything was full. A young American woman walked out of the municipal alberge just as I walked up.

She was fluent in Spanish. She went back in asked some questions about options. It came down to hiking another hour hoping to find a room, or taking a taxi to Pamplona 21 km away. While we were discussing a man approached and told her there was a room available across the street. She let me have the room because she wanted to hike some more. I just had a delicious dinner. Tomorrow is Pamplona (21 kilometers) and then a rest day.
