I’m keeping to the coast, which adds distance. This is a very nice walkable city. It’s also the first time I have been denied service because I was a pilgrim (it was outdoor seating so it wasn’t because I smelled). It was the backpack. Four more days I will be in Santiago. Today was a rest day after walking for 6. I needed it. I had steamed mussels for lunch. Absolutely delicious. Even eggs taste better here. It might be a little bit the walking, but I think it’s also better food, not so industrialized. This adventure is winding down, but I still have lots of walking. First to Finisterre, then Moxia, then to the Dolomite’s. All those are bite sized. By staying on the coast, the Portugese camino is close to 700 km.
